The fragrance of fresh rosemary. The crackle of a bread crust. The sweetness of a pear paired with a beautifully tangy cheese. Sometimes, discovering something new begins with paying closer attention.

From October 12–18, 2026, France celebrates La Semaine du Goût, or Week of Taste.

Through tastings, workshops, and educational activities, it encourages people of all ages to explore flavors and discover the ingredients and people behind their food.

It’s a spirit close to my heart, and to French Moods.

Growing up in Provence, I learned to appreciate the seasons, the market, and the pleasure of simple ingredients. With this free guide, I invite you to bring a little of that curiosity to your own table.

Taste the French Way — Five Senses, a Little French Flair includes:

  • Five sensory discoveries to explore at your own pace.

  • A tasting game to enjoy with a friend or around the table.

  • A pear, cheese, and walnut tart, with a little ritual for choosing your cheese.

  • Baked apples with honey and thyme.

Try one idea or make an evening of it. There’s no special equipment needed, just curiosity and a moment to savor.

Avec plaisir,

Huguette
